Woe to every scorner and mocker
وَيْلٌ لِّـكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ ۙ

Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
لَّذِىْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۙ

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخْلَدَهٗ ۚ

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
كَلَّا لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِى الْحُطَمَةِ ۖ

And what can make you know what is the Crusher?
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ۗ

It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,
نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُ ۙ

Which mounts directed at the hearts.
الَّتِىْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْـــِٕدَةِ ۗ

Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them
اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ۙ

فِىْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ
